Hi! My name is Edie Richards.
I've been in this
wonderful sport for about 13 years and have handled all breeds of
dogs over the years. I've enjoyed each and everyone!
I have a passion
for the dog world. Fact be known, I'd rather spend most of my time
with my four-legged friends!! I have found them to be loyal companions
through thick and thin!
With each and every
dog I have trained and handled, they have managed to teach something
new that I have been able to carry with me to my next training challenge!
I must say, I find it very chalanging and rewarding! However, through
life's little changes (the big "D") I have been forced
to cut back on my normal schedule. However, if things work out I'll
be back doing what I truly love on a full-time basis. God willing
and the river begins to recede!!
My initiation breed
to the sport was a most wonderful breed, the Rottweiler. We (my
husband at the time) had seen the Bullmastiffs, but not visited
the ring. One day Jim came to the ring all excited and said "You
have to come and see this awesome dog!"
So of course I ran , not walked, to the Bullmastiff ring! The dog
just so happened to be "Upper Crust's Week-End Warrior"
He was a lovely young, very typey, substantial and beautiful 9 month
old fawn male.
That was it. I
knew this was gong to be a breed I would have to have in my home!!
It didn't take
long before "Ch Upper Crust Tucker o' Blueridge" was
a part of our family.
